Community-based artivist performance action designed to raise people’s awareness about sustainability and the climate change taking place in seven squares of the cities of São João del Rei, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. 

This project is about performance and artivism and consists of seven events to be lived in seven squares, or online, via the Internet, during seven hours. It also has a performative mini-Karawane running through the seven squares, made by participants moving using any means of transport ecological and environmentally friend.

In each square, guest performer artists, students, residents of the square and its surroundings will be performing, exchanging and making actions based on one of the seven arts and its relationship to the climate change, ecology and socio-cultural needs of the neighbouring community of each square.

Topics covered are the ethical, emotional, professional, psychological, social and legal conflicts affecting human in their interspecies relations and with the current unsustainable culture of our societies.

The background to guide the actions is the reflection that arts and culture have always played a critical role in addressing the political, environmental and social. However, sustainable development and climate agenda is still essentially scientific, economic and political. The main purpose of this device is to show the citizens involved in the proposed actions, that there are alternative ways to understand the complexity of sustainable challenge, be it cultural, social, ecological, urban, environmental or climate so thinking solutions to achieve sustainable cultural change inspired by the creativity and innovation.
